This course is designed to enable students to understand the types, characteristics and importance of scientific research; identify and formulate problems in their areas, the basic concepts and methods of geographical research; identify types and sources of data; prepare sound research proposal; understand and explain the characteristic features of different methods of data collection, organizing and analysis; write a clear and comprehensive research report.
