This course is designed to introduce students of geography and environmental studies and other development related programs with the interaction between environment and development activities, the issue of sustainable development, the way how to make development sustainable, the concept of environmental impact assessment, its purpose, benefit and procedures in undertaking EIA.
The course requires the integration of theories and examples with the practical situation of our country. It requires students to relate all the discussions in the classroom and the literature with the real cases in our country.- Teacher: Afera Azmeraw
