Examine, undertake survey, analysis of animal health issues through
applying participatory epidemiology (PE) which is based on the principles and
methods of participatory rural Appraisal (PRA); participatory methods (informal
interviewing methods, visualization (mapping) methods, ranking or scoring, proportional
piling, and seasonal calendars); using pictures and other aids to maximize
participatory methods; work with livestock-rearing communities to explore
specific animal health constraints; human diseases; status of veterinary
extension; identify solutions; taking an action based on information; present
results with respect to demography, household characteristics: Labour force,
health, education, language, ethnicity, family size and composition (sex and
age); land use system; agriculture (crop and livestock inputs) production and
inputs; strength, weakness, opportunity, formal and informal institutions;
water and sanitation; gender issues, responsibility and duties, decision
making, property rights and access
