Course Description

Criminology and Criminalistics are two subsets of the criminal justice system. Criminology relates to the study and prevention of crime—typically with behavioral sciences like sociology, psychology and anthropology. Criminalistics is the science that develops a system of special procedures, methods, and means for collecting, studying, and evaluating legal evidence used in criminal proceedings for the purpose of preventing, exposing, or investigating crimes.

Learning Outcomes

  • · The students will demonstrate competency in the principles of crime scene investigation, including the recognition, collection, identification, preservation, and documentation of physical evidence.

  • · Knowledge and understanding on the general principles of Forensic entomology, Blood stain pattern analysis. The students will gain basic understanding on examination of Burnt vehicles
