Course Description:
This course introduces computer applications in powers systems and covers the modelling and simulations of Load flow Analysis, Fault Studies, Power system stability, Analysis of Harmonic Propagation, Optimization and security in power systems.
Course Objectives: At the end of this course, students should be able to
· Understand and implement load flow studies using computer simulation
· Understand and implement fault studies using computer programs
· Analyze harmonic propagation in transmission lines
· Model power system elements to perform stability studies using computer.
