Description

The intent of this course is to give students’ basic understanding of architecture and factors which shape built environment. The course contents will be delivered through lectures, Class discussions and projects. After the completing this course, students will understand the development of Historic, Vernacular and modern settlements in Ethiopia.

Evaluation

Written examination comprises 50% of the total evaluation while a semester project and assignments account for 40%. Regular attendance is mandatory for the course and it will be evaluated for the remaining 10%. The instructor will explain requirements and expected outputs of the semester project.

Course Policy

All Academic misconducts such as cheating and plagiarism are subjected to punishment according to Arba Minch University’s legislation. Students are expected to attend at least 75% of total class. If you have any legitimate excuse please notify your instructors in advance. Group work and mutual discussions are encouraged while copying others work is not acceptable.
